Brakes

From Your Friendly Mechanic Team at El Patron Tires.

If your brake warning light comes on, pull over safely right away.

Here’s what to check first:

  • Is your parking/emergency brake engaged? If so, release it.

  • Check your brake fluid level in the reservoir.

If the brake fluid is fine and the parking brake is off but the light is still on, inspect around your tires and under the vehicle for any fluid leaks in the brake lines.

Do not ignore this light. It could mean your brakes won’t stop the vehicle properly — putting you and your family at serious risk.

Other brake warning signs to watch for:

  • Shaking or vibrating when you press the brake pedal

  • A hard pedal or one that sinks all the way to the floor

Call a tow truck immediately and take your vehicle to a trusted shop — or call us at 702-888-0060. For major repairs, we’ll cover the tow within 30 miles.
